Another all day visit to the ER with my mother. Same problem, different diagnosis. Well, not really a diagnosis. This is what the doctor said, "I don't know", which is better then making something up like the doctor from our last visit on labor day. They did all the same tests, but this time added an ultra sound. Everything came back normal. She has an appointment on Wednesday with her regular Doctor, we'll see what his input will be. We're thinking GERDs.

My mother's room had hot air balloons on the light panels this time.

How I spent my Labor Day Holiday . . .

in the hospital emergency room. My mother has been having some back pain/discomfort that was not part of her normal back pain/discomfort for a few days and wanted to get checked out. Well . . . we know what she doesn't have, no mystery mass, all tests came back normal. The Doctor in his quest for an answer came up with a diagnosis that neither my mother and I found believable. Having spent almost 7 hours in the ER was still worth it, knowing that something serious (ie. cancer) was not a factor. It's been over 5 years since that last time I took my mother to the ER so she had some new technology to get acquainted with. She was fascinated with that clip they put on your finger to see how much oxygen is in your blood. I was fascinated by the ceiling light panel, I had never seen one like this before and think it's a really great idea for hospitals. Go here to learn more about the panels.

Three Stages of . . .

the Cosmo: the bud, the bloom, and gone to seed.
The bee flew in as I snapped the shot ( he's a bit of a blur).
