He tried to escape the photo shoot,
but I got him right before he disappeared into the reeds.

Thanksgiving Day

On Thanksgiving Day the turkey usually gets center stage on the dinner table.
Since it's not getting center stage on my table today (having meatloaf), I thought I'd do it here.

Coyotes at . . .

Red Rock Canyon Open Space, Colorado Springs, Colorado. (14 Nov. 2009)

I had my zoom maxed out so I was not that close to the coyotes (there were two), I think we were all comfortable with the distance. The images were not as sharp as I would have liked, but with the zoom maxed without benefit of a tripod and the snow coming down, it would just have to do.
The average paw measures 2-1/2". (Lip Balm measures 2-5/8")

Stratton Open Space VII

The reservoir is also much enjoyed by our four legged friends.

Lost items.

Although there is a high fence surrounding the reservoir, there are two gates left open so you can walk to the waters edge. But no swimming, no wading, no fishing.
